The basic principle of the flocculin display expression system is to use the flocculin gene to be fused with the foreign protein and then introduce it into the yeast cell, and use the yeast intracellular protein transport mechanism to transfer the target protein to the cell surface and fix it on the cell membrane. The system contains two subsystems, namely the GPI anchoring system and the flocculation domain anchoring system.
