Yeast Surface Display Analysis of α-Agglutinin System (Agα)
α-agglutinin is encoded by the Agα1 gene and has only one core subunit. 320 amino acid residues of its C-terminal (serine and threonine-rich support region and GPI anchor protein attachment signal region) are covalently bound to the cell wall glucan, making it anchored on the cell wall. The C-terminus of the target protein is fused with the N-terminus of α-agglutinin, and secreted and expressed under the guidance of signal peptide, thereby achieving display and expression of foreign proteins.
